I love this quote because it reminds me that all of life and all of experience, whether good or bad, sad or happy or anything in between is learning. What is even greater is that we can also learn from other people’s lives.
And that is where this project comes in. Who better to learn from than the ‘weekend warriors’; the people that do it all: family, community, job and “just a little” study or training or both (!) on top of all of that. These people don’t have time to be full-time athletes or performers. They can’t afford to be single-minded academics. So how do they do it all and then some more? How do they deal with something going ‘wrong’ or differently than expected, how do they celebrate the wins? Spoiler alert, it has something to do with grabbing any chance to learn, to do it again, to adapt and to find out what happens next.
Join me in the conversations with some of the life-size weekend warriors I know as they share their stories in my new podcast series ‘Weekend Warriors Rock’ launching in July. Subscribe to the channel now, so you won’t miss any episodes.
