THANKS

“TOKU TOA, HE TOA RANGATIRA.”

“I STAND TALL ON THE SHOULDERs OF GIANTS.”

So many amazing humans have allowed me to be at this point, who have supported and inspired me and who I deeply respect and hope to have many, many more conversations with.

My Mama who is the strongest and most inspiring, who taught me the value of learning and kindness and of never giving up. My three sisters, Angi, Steffi and Kathi, who show me that happiness can take many forms and all that matters is that we are there for each other when we need it.

The love of my life, my rock, who taught me to embrace new things with open arms and to always be positive, and our son, who teaches me every day to see things through different eyes and to look forward.

Lynette, Makarena (Muddly) and many colleagues from Auckland University who nurtured my inquisitive mind early in my career and allowed me to see the many exciting areas of psychology.

The team at academyEX and all my present and past students, too many to name individually here, who continue to show me how things can be done differently.

My Unitec / Te Pukenga whanau from the early days of Te Kura Whanaui with Craig, Lucy, Nikki and Yo, to all the amazing connections I was able to make over the years including with colleagues in Early Childhood Education, Nursing, Sport, Computing and Osteopathy – everyone showing every day what it looks like to put the learner first.

Claire, Mandy and the rest of the team at Avenues Physio Fitness for allowing me to continue to develop my own style and sharing their passion for healthcare with the patient at the centre.

Many friends from sport and life who teach me perseverance every day and to take things in our stride.
